The Diploma in Dance program offered at the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, Sultan Idris Education University aims to produce graduates in the field of dance that is based on arts and culture, in line with the desire to improve socio-economic quality and human capital development to achieve the Malaysian Education Development Plan (Higher Education) 2015 – 2025 [PPPM (PT)].
The curriculum content of this Diploma in Dance program is formulated with the aim of developing individuals who can develop cognitive, affective and psychomotor potential in a balanced manner from the diploma level in preparation for continuing their studies to the bachelor’s level and even to higher levels such as masters and doctorates. This also coincides with the goal of lifelong learning which is one of the pillars of the university’s strategic plan.
Through a balanced curriculum in terms of intellect, spirituality, emotion and physicality, graduates will have dynamic knowledge and skills as well as high self-confidence, thus being able to become competent human capital towards preserving the world of performing arts, arts and culture in the country.
