As Dean, I am very proud of the legacy of excellence of the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts. Through the dedication of its experienced lecturers and staff, the faculty has produced many outstanding educators and artistic achievers, who have made significant contributions to schools, institutions of higher learning and the creative industries throughout Malaysia.

In line with global developments, this faculty continues to grow in terms of pedagogy, performance research and artistic innovation, including the application of digitalization in music and performing arts. We expand the scope of studies to include the fields of Music, Dance Studies and Theatre by integrating digital technology, creative production and new media in the curriculum. This interdisciplinary approach ensures that our graduates are not only excellent in terms of artistic and pedagogical aspects, but also have digital literacy, management skills and artistic entrepreneurship that are relevant to the needs of today's creative industries.

Our academic staff consists of experts in the fields of pedagogy, performance, artistic research and digital innovation. In addition to maintaining the strength of classical traditions and techniques, we also explore contemporary approaches based on technology and cross-disciplinary collaboration to empower more dynamic and relevant learning.
